Our client is a specialist translation/localization company with years of experience of translating and adapting software products and documentation into a large range of languages for use across the world. They are looking for a Japanese speaking Technical Translator and Localisation specialist to join their in house translation team in Cambridge.
The Role and Candidate Profile:
- Candidates should have an academic qualification either in translation, modern languages, Journalism or IT.
- Target language Japanese should be to a mother tongue standard or equivalent.
- The candidate must minimum 5 years translation/localization experience (would have typically worked with SDL) and experience handling large-volume localization projects;
- Ideal candidate has experience in CAD software and/or ERP/ERM software.
- Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of industry related tools such as Trados, Workbench, Idiom, Catalyst, Pasolo, Framemaker etc.
- Role involves creation of terminology lists and style guides, liaising and supervising a translation team and technical translation into Japanese.
